2016 November
In October I had a show of small works at the Lyceum Club in Melbourne of which I have been a member for several years now. Oil paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture were on show for a month and the feedback I received was terrific. Graeme Drendel gave the opening speech for the show and my thanks to Graeme as well as Stuart Purves, who was present on the night with his unfailing support as always for both the club and myself.
I was thrilled to be selected as a Doug Moran Portrait Prize Semi finalist again this year, with a portrait of renowned Australian Sculptor, Jock Clutterbuck.
Toward the end of this month I head of to Mildura to spend a few weeks at The Vault Gallery doing a residency to create works for an upcoming show with them in February 2017. The sculptures pictured are several of which I will be exhibiting.
Lastly, my ongoing project of portraits of my artist colleagues continues, I have around 12 now and am lining up next years sitters so that I hit the ground running in January......as they say "No rest for the wicked"......!!!
